Introduction

At 6tSevn, we believe your financial data is deeply personal. Doekoe was built with a privacy-first philosophy: your data belongs to you, stays with you, and is never shared with anyone — including us.

This Privacy Policy explains how Doekoe handles your information. We encourage you to read it carefully. If you have any questions, please contact us at the address listed at the bottom of this document.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Doekoe does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers. Specifically:

  • No analytics or tracking. We do not use any analytics frameworks, tracking pixels, or usage telemetry.
  • No advertising. Doekoe contains no ads and does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA).
  • No third-party SDKs that collect data. Doekoe is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks.
  • No user accounts. Doekoe does not require registration, login, or any form of account creation.
  • No server-side processing. We do not operate any servers that receive your data.

Data Stored on Your Device

All data you enter into Doekoe is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:

  • Expenses — amounts, descriptions, dates, categories, and receipt photos
  • Income entries — amounts, descriptions, dates, and recurrence settings
  • Budget settings — budget amounts, periods, and preferences
  • Categories — names, icons, colors, and sort order
  • Savings goals — names, target amounts, current amounts, and deadlines
  • Recurring entries — recurrence intervals and linked child entries
  • App preferences — language, currency, dark mode, notification settings, and onboarding status

This data is stored in an SQLite database within the app's private sandboxed container on your device. No other app can access this data.

iCloud Sync (Optional — Doekoe Pro)

If you subscribe to Doekoe Pro and enable iCloud sync, your data is synchronized across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit framework. When iCloud sync is enabled:

  • Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, managed by Apple.
  • Data is transmitted between your devices using Apple's encrypted iCloud infrastructure.
  • 6tSevn has no access to your iCloud data. We cannot read, view, or retrieve any data stored in your iCloud account.
  • You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Doekoe's settings. When disabled, your data remains only on your device.

Photo Library Access

Doekoe requests access to your Photo Library only when you choose to attach a receipt photo to an expense. Specifically:

  • Access is requested only when you initiate the action of adding a photo.
  • Receipt images are stored locally within the app's data container (and in your iCloud account if sync is enabled).
  • Photos are never transmitted to 6tSevn or any third party.
  • You can deny or revoke Photo Library access at any time in your device's Settings.

Notifications

Doekoe uses local notifications only — these are generated and delivered entirely on your device. Notifications are used for:

  • Budget alerts — when your spending reaches 80%, 90%, or 100% of your budget.
  • Bill due date reminders — reminders for upcoming expense due dates.

These notifications are generated locally on your device, never sent through external push notification servers operated by 6tSevn, and entirely optional — you can enable or disable them in Doekoe's settings or in your device's notification settings.

Face ID / Touch ID

Doekoe offers an optional biometric lock using Face ID or Touch ID to protect your financial data. When enabled:

  • Biometric authentication is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework.
  • Doekoe never receives, stores, or processes your biometric data. Authentication happens at the operating system level.
  • If biometric authentication is unavailable, the system falls back to your device passcode.
  • You can enable or disable biometric lock at any time in Doekoe's settings.

In-App Purchases

Doekoe offers optional subscriptions (Doekoe Pro) through Apple's App Store. When you make a purchase:

  • The transaction is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit.
  • 6tSevn does not collect your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
  • Purchase validation happens on-device using Apple's StoreKit 2 framework.

Data Export

Doekoe Pro allows you to export your financial data as PDF or CSV files. When you export:

  • The export file is generated locally on your device.
  • You control where the file is saved or shared using the standard iOS share sheet.
  • 6tSevn never receives a copy of your exported data.

Children's Privacy

Doekoe does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. Since all data is stored locally and we do not collect any information, there is no risk of children's data being transmitted to us or any third party.

Data Deletion

Since all your data is stored on your device (and optionally in your personal iCloud account), you have full control over it at all times:

  • Delete individual entries directly within the app (expenses, income, categories, savings goals).
  • Clear all data using the "Clear All Data" option in Doekoe's settings.
  • Delete all data permanently by deleting the Doekoe app from your device.
  • Remove iCloud data by disabling iCloud sync in Doekoe's settings or managing your iCloud storage through your device's Settings.

No data remains on any 6tSevn server after deletion because we never had your data in the first place.

Third-Party Services

Doekoe uses no third-party services that collect, process, or store your data. The app is built exclusively with Apple's native frameworks:

  • SwiftData — Local data storage
  • CloudKit — iCloud sync (optional, Pro only)
  • StoreKit 2 — In-app purchases
  • PhotosUI — Receipt photo attachments
  • UserNotifications — Local budget alerts and bill reminders
  • LocalAuthentication — Face ID / Touch ID app lock

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Since Doekoe stores all data locally on your device and we have no access to it, you already have full and direct control over all your data at all times.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), we confirm that:

  • No personal data is transferred to 6tSevn or any third party.
  • No data processing by 6tSevn occurs, as we do not collect your data.
  • Your data resides on your device and, if you choose, in your personal Apple iCloud account.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Doekoe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
